Barnaby’s London debut was described by The Times as "imperturbably virtuosic" and by the London Evening Standard as "stunning".

Barnaby has recorded as a soloist for London Decca and also with the Philharmonia Orchestra, Sphor 'Clarinet Concertos' No's 1 & 3. Excerpts of which ca be heard on the audio page of this web site.

He performed the Copland 'Clarinet Concerto' at New York's Lincoln Centre and regularly performs the Mozart ‘Clarinet Concerto’ on both modern & period instruments.

His interpretation of the clarinet obligatos from Mozart's 'La Clemenza di Tito', received special praise from the critics of the Sunday Times, London Evening Standard and The Observer in a recent Glyndebourne Opera production.

This season, Barnaby performed the Mendelssohn 'Concertstuck' for clarinet & basset horn with Mark van de Wiel and the Philharmonia Orchestra.
